Like chromogenic substrates, KPL's chemiluminescent substrates facilitate detection of nucleic acids and proteins when catalyzed with the appropriate enzyme. In these systems, the product of such a reaction is light. This signal can be recorded permanently on X-ray film or by image analysis. Sensitivity achieved with chemiluminescence rivals that of isotopic methods. KPL offers highly sensitive and stable liquid chemiluminescent substrates for use in either horseradish peroxidase or alkaline phosphatase mediated systems.
