DEA buffer is used to dissolve pNPP tablets and prepare a working solution of pNPP Microwell Substrate.  The working substrate develops a soluble yellow product and is used to detect alkaline-phosphatase conjugates. The substrate reaction can be stopped with an equal volume of APstop Solution.
