The cDNA Integrity Kit offers an accurate means to evaluate cDNA preparations to determine the presence of full-length and extended transcripts prior to their use in RT-PCR, microarrays, differential display, and Northern analysis, and library construction. Results can be obtained from any single or double standed cDNA sample from human, mouse, or rat cells or tissue. The kit contains eight primer sets which amplify specific regions of four different, but commonly expressed genes under universal PCR conditions. Generation of product with the 3' primer set indicates that the gene is expressed; generation of product from the 5' primer set indicates full-length, intact cDNA. is used to determine if cDNA preparations or completed cDNA libraries are intact and full-length prior to their use. Reliably assures cDNA representative of entire mRNA population. Saves time by verifying full-length cDNA prior to downstream applications such as RT-PCR, Northern and microarray analysis.
