- High specificity to E. coli O121 with minimal cross-reactivity to other E. coli serogroups
- Affinity purified polyclonal antibody yields higher sensitivity than monoclonal antibodies
- Antibody conjugated with long carbon spacer arm biotin - minimizing steric hindrance between biotinylated antibody and streptavidin
- Biotinylated antibody, used with KPL's labeled streptavidin, enhances detection of E. coli O121.
Affinity purified polyclonal antibody to E. coli O121 made in goat is conjugated to biotin. Antibody is isolated from a serum pool of goats immunized with heat-killed whole cells of E.coli serogroup O121. Certain strains of the E. coli serogroup O121 are considered to be STECs (shiga-toxin producing E. coli). Product is lyophilized. Each lot is tested to assure specificity and lot-to-lot consistency using KPL’s in-house ELISA assay.

The plot depicts OD values from a TMB-detected HRP capture ELISA. KPL heat-killed positive controls from various STEC serogroups and S. typhimurium (1:100 dilution, ~107 CFU/mL) were used as analytes. Unlabeled anti-E. coli O121 antibody (KPL catalog no. 01-95-95) was used as the capture antibody, and HRP-labeled conjugate (KPL catalog no. 04-95-95) was used as the reporter. All other assay components were KPL catalog products.
BacTrace Anti-E.coli O121 antibody is also available unlabeled and labeled with peroxidase and DyLight 488. |
