The image below demonstrates the high specificity of BacTrace Anti-E.coli O157 for shiga toxin (stx)-producing E. coli O157:H7 with virtually no cross-reactivity to other stx-producing E.coli or non-STEC bacteria.
The plot depicts OD values from a TMB detected HRP capture-ELISA. A 1:100 dilution (~107 CFU/mL) of KPL heat-killed positive controls from various STEC serogroups and S. Typhimurium was used as analytes. Unlabeled Anti-E. coli O157:H7 antibody (KPL catalog # 01-95-90) was used as the capture antibodies and HRP-labeled cognate conjugates (KPL catalog # 04-95-90) were used as reporters. All other assay components were KPL catalog products, following manufacturer’s protocol.
